Hi-Lite’s Aluminum Modular Systems Suits Contractors needs…

When a local contractor was faced with a unique shoring situation, they called upon Spa Steel Products to see if we had a solution to their problem. Working together with the contractor’s field personnel a decision was made to utilize Hi-Lite Systems’ 25K Modular Aluminum Shoring System.

The application required the shoring of a roof slab above an open elevator shaft. Beginning on the floor below, the open space was spanned using light weight aluminum beams with plywood decking. A series of towers were constructed using a combination of 6’ and 8’ high aluminum frames, aluminum beams and stringers topped with a plywood deck. As a safety precaution, the floor below was re-shored using Hi-Lite 25K Heavy Load Post Shores positioned directly under the frame loading points.

Among the many advantages of the Hi-Lite System; frames and accessories are highly resistant to damage for long, rust free service life and require minimal maintenance. Towers can be hand set and stripped by a single person without the use of a crane. Frames are easily transformed into post shores. Combinations of screw jacks, base plates and extension tubes can be added to the top or bottom of the frame or post shores to suit diverse applications. Ledgers are spaced at 2’ intervals to facilitate easy climbing. Transportation, storage and handling costs are reduced because of their light weight and modular features.

Spa Steel maintains a full inventory of this modular shoring system; including post shores available for 28 day monthly rental. Aluminum beams are available in lengths ranging from 4’ to 21’. If required, sealed drawings can be provided (for an additional cost).
